Visa Application Information

The visa application is fast, simple and secure.  The application is processed through the Australian Government Electronic Travel Authority.

Do I need a visa?

Visitors to Australia should hold a visa.  It is recommended you arrange an appropriate visa before making travel arrangements.  

What visas can I get through this website?

  1. Tourist Short Validity Visa (subclass 976) - allows the holder to travel to Australia as a tourist as often as they need within the specified period (up to 3 months within a 12 month period).
  2. Business Short Validility Visa (subclass 977) - allows the holder to travel to Australia on business as often as they need within the specified period (up to 3 months within a 12 month period).

How much does it cost?

AUD$14.99 is equivalent to approximately 12USD, 6GBP, 9EUR, 94CNY, 1400JPY, 18SGD and 87ZAR - for a current conversion visit X-Rates.  Please note this fee applies irrespective of the Australian Government approving the visa application. 

Am I eligible for a visa?

To apply for a short-validility visa through this website you need:

  1. An eligible passport - see below
  2. Your credit card
  3. To be of good health and have no criminal convictions
  4. To be outside of Australia at the time of making the application.
